ACP Rail Equipment, is mainly active in the purchase and sale of used freight cars, although we also deal in other sectors of the industry including rail and railcar parts, leasing and consulting. Our business is concentrated in the North American market.
Our competitive edge is our long-standing presence (over 45-years) and solid relationships in the rail industry that allow us to provide reliable and personalized service to our customers at a reasonable price.
We take a long-term view of all our business relationships and therefore work equally hard to meet the needs of a customer or supplier in the market for one car or a whole fleet. We also understand the highs and lows of economic cycles and work closely with our clients to provide them with solutions within their budget restrictions.
In terms of suppliers, we deal almost exclusively directly with the railcar owners, and more particularly Class 1 railways.
We have a wide customer-base consisting of, among others, regional and short-line railways, leasing companies, steel mills and other private firms requiring in-plant or interchange cars.
We have a wide network of contacts throughout the industry to also facilitate our customers, including car inspectors, freight specialists, rail car consultants and leasing/ financing firms.
